Biography

Meng Baoxi, a member of the Communist Party of China, studied and conducted research at the PLA Institute of Plastic Surgery, Xijing Hospital, Fourth Military Medical University; the Department of Plastic Surgery, Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Dalian University; and the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University. He studied under the Chinese plastic surgery expert Zhang Chen and Professor Wang Zhijun, an expert in facial rhytidectomy, and received personal guidance from Professor Lu Kaihua in plastic surgery and Professor Guo Shuzhong, a domestic expert in face transplantation. He has mastered the diagnosis and treatment of common and frequently occurring diseases in plastic surgery.

Scars: scar contracture deformities, application of tissue expanders, skin harvesting and grafting;
Organ reconstruction: total auricular reconstruction for congenital pediatric deformities, total nasal reconstruction;
Microsurgery: independently performing replantation of severed fingers and repair of complex wounds with free flaps;
Emergency management of hand injuries and facial trauma; aesthetic surgery;
Nasal plastic surgery: rhinoplasty, comprehensive rhinoplasty, and secondary lip and nasal deformities after cleft lip surgery; augmentation mammoplasty; liposuction;
Oculoplastic surgery: double eyelid surgery, lower blepharoplasty (eye bag removal), medial epicanthoplasty;
Auricular plastic surgery: prominent ear, cryptotia, cup ear;
Injection aesthetics: botulinum toxin for face slimming and wrinkle reduction;
Various flap transfer procedures, excision of skin tumors, implantation of tissue expanders and transfer of expanded flaps, treatment of scar contracture after burns, diagnosis and treatment of congenital defects, facial rejuvenation treatment, aesthetic eye surgery, rhinoplasty, chin augmentation, and other aesthetic surgical treatments.

Research and Teaching:
Has published multiple papers in the Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery and other journals, and has participated in several National Natural Science Foundation of China projects and key scientific and technological research projects of the Henan Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
